Our curriculum therefore is one which continually evolves, combining a commitment to the demands of academic rigour whilst embracing student's personal development.

Timetable

The timetable operates over two weeks for 10 days total and has 5x 1-hour periods of subject lesson time each day. School starts at 8:40am and Finishes at 3:10pm. Form Time starts at 8:40am and last 30 minutes. Religous Studies, PSHE & Citizenship and Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) takes place during Life Skills.

Lower School and Upper School

The school operates a Lower and Upper school model where Year 7 and 8 teaching takes place on the lower site and year 9, 10 and 11 takes place on the upper site. The timetable follows the same structure across both sites, and most staff teach lessons on both the Upper and Lower sites.

Homework Expectations

Students receive 1 hour of homework per subject, per week. In Key Stage 4 this may well be 2 Hours for English, Maths, Science and Modern Languages.
